Some walks and rides in Whitehorse
Download this great booklet on some great places to take the family in Whitehorse
With several bordering creeks and parks in Whitehorse, and the development of trails such as the Dandenong Creek Trail, Koonung Creek trail, Mullum Mullum Creek Trail, Eastlink trail, Gardiners Creek trail and the Box Hill to Ringwood Shared Path, there are many opportunities to get out and be active. And don’t forget places like Blackburn Lake Sanctuary, Wurundjeri Walk, Blackburn Creeklands and more.
Keep an eye out for the Pipe track development by Whitehorse Council in conjunction with VicRoads and Monash Council to link Nunawading to Monash and beyond.
WATAG is very supportive of these developments – especially when they provide linking routes across the city enabling their use not just for recreation, but as Active Transport corridors too.
Consider Riding your bike more.
A great way to have fun and learn to ride with like-minded people in a safe and caring environment is to check out Whitehorse Cyclists Inc. (click here for their web page).
